U.S. Surgeon General on Anti-Smoking Strategies Play

Jan. 17 (Bloomberg) -- Acting U.S. Surgeon General Boris Lushniak speaks about the dangers of tobacco use at a news conference in Washington. Lushniak, in a report today, criticized the “fraudulent campaigns” by cigarette companies, weaknesses in regulation and a rebound in smoking depicted in Hollywood films. He said he’s considering end-game strategies, such as greater restrictions on sales to achieve “a society free of tobacco-related death and disease.” (Source: Bloomberg)
