Colorado Farmer Cuts Acreage as Hands Hard to Find Play

May 30 (Bloomberg) -- Bob Sakata, a farmer in Brighton, Colorado, talks with Bloomberg's Jennifer Oldham about difficulties in finding seasonal farm hands. Even as unemployment remains above pre-recession levels, at 6.9 percent in April, industries that are pillars of Colorado's economy including agriculture, technology and tourism, cannot find employees. Too few farm workers caused growers to lose thousands of dollars when squash and peppers went unpicked last fall. (Source: Bloomberg)
