Snow Leopard Upgraders: Update Your Flash Player

Posted by: Stephen Wildstrom on September 03, 2009

Another glitch in the upgrade to Snow Leopard has come to light, courtesy of the folks at the security firm Sophos. As explained in a blog post by Sophos’ Graham Cluely, Snow Leopard installs a version of Adobe Flash Player withj known vulnerabilities. The latest Mac version of of the Flash Player is 10.0.32.18 and Snow Leopard leaves you with the vulnerable 10.0.23.1. (You can check the version of Flash installed on your system here.)

Fortunately, the fix is simple: Go the the Flash site and download the latest version.

I wonder how many people are still running Flash 9. Flash 10 didn't come out too long ago.

maybe the snow leopard wasn't quite ready to climb down from the icy mountain ranges of central asia and into your apple computer. what will apple name their operating systems when they run out of cats? http://onthebutton.wordpress.com/2009/08/26/apple-snow-leopard/

Annoyed by constant flashes? Google ClickToFlash, no cost. It was noted in a comment to-day on macdailynews.com.
