Ballmer Egged In Budapest; Mac Plays Cameo

Posted by: Arik Hesseldahl on May 20, 2008

Below is the video making the rounds today of Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer getting berated and egged while trying to address students at a university in Budapest. Gizmodo says the guy’s complaint has something to do with a Microsoft deals with the university that in effect lock students into Windows.

Tell me I’m wrong, but as you watch the people sitting next to the egg-throwing stand up to let him out, there’s a guy wearing a read shirt who lifts up his own notebook in the process. Sure looks like a MacBook to me. Watch closely. Perhaps this person’s irritation with Microsoft presents an opportunity. How about an Apple store in Budapest?

There is a classy Apple store in Budapest. It's called "iStyle" and it's on Andrassy Ut. along with Bulgari, Vuitton, Gucci and the other high end shops, the state opera house and so on.
