As entrepreneurs, we often think we should have a hand in everything. Unfortunately, we’re not Superman (and even he needed help sometimes). When the growth picks up, don’t try to do it all.
If you haven’t done it already, begin by hiring a set of key employees or aligning yourself with key partners. They should be people you trust both to push you forward and rein you in. Evaluate the strengths of these people and start off-loading responsibilities from your plate by delegating work accordingly. If you are used to doing it all, it may be difficult at first to not touch every piece of the puzzle. Have faith. You trust these people, right? Then be confident that they will pick things up where you leave off—which leaves you to do the things you do best.
