IOGEAR: A Self-Cleaning Computer Mouse

This gadget might as well have been custom-made for Donald Trump, who doesn't shake hands with people for fear of getting germs. A company called IOGEAR just introduced a germs-free, self-cleaning computer mouse.

The wireless gadget's outer shell is covered with nanocoating, consisting of titanium oxide and silver nanoparticles that can prevent or deactivate bacteria with 99% efficiency. You may laugh, but a recent University of Arizona study showed that an average desk contains 400 times more bacteria than a toilet seat. Just think about computers at public libraries or Internet cafes. The gadget, which should sell for about $40, should make clean-up a lot easier than alternatives like washable mice.

Beware: The company's disclaimer says the device "cannot be used as antibiotic or anti-viral medication." :-)
