Hot Honda hybrid.

Bruce Nussbaum

The 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid is a lesson in innovation and design. It comes out as Honda announces its new motorcycles for next year (and just days after Honda showed off its new motorcycle airbag--a first). Honda is one of the few companies that makes both motorcycles and automobiles--and races them. Thanks to Metacool I am reminded of the racing heritage of this great Japanese company and of its founder Soichiro Honda.

The 2006 four-door civic has great styling, gets 49/51 miles per gallon and costs $21,850. Now think about that. A jazzy car with advanced engine technology that gives you about double the average mileage for a really modest price. That's car design.
