Revisiting Memeorandum

Heather Green

Michael Arrington at TechCrunch has an ode to Memeorandum and how he thinks it's changing the way people use the Web.

Arrington describes how Memeorandum pulls together in real time blog posts, news articles, and pr announcements that being heavily linked to. "The position and size of the headline is indicative of its importance. This means you can find out in near real time what is important in technology (or politics), how important it is, and who?? talking about it.

I use it occasionally, though i have been put off by how ugly it is. But thanks to Arrington, I am diving back in.

While in its early stages, you should check out Blogniscient - they have an interesting approach and offer categories besides politics and tech.

Memeorandum would be much more useful if they didn't link to so many extreme rightwing blogs, most of whom just parrot what each other say.

From a liberal perspective, I'll take The Daou Report any day.
