I Want the Blooker Prize

Heather Green

In a clever publicity move, Lulu, a self-publishing book service, is creating its own version of the Booker prize for books made from blogs...called the Blooker Prize. As Lulu puts it, the esteemed judges are Cory Doctorow from Boing Boing, Robin Miller from Slashdot) and Paul Jones from ibiblio and the prize will reward blooks in three categories: Fiction, Non-Fiction and Comic-Blooks.

There will be one overall winner, as as much as I would love it to be me, I don't dish dirt the way Nadine Haobash did about the beauty industry before getting the ax from not one but two employers....

My prediction, the Blooker is a one year wonder...
