Where is the outrage over film maker's death?

I can't even count the number of times over the last few years that Bush has been mindlessly compared to Hitler, the Nazi's, the fascists. But as U.S. voters went to the polls Nov. 2, the real thing reared its head in the Netherlands, where a 26-year-old man suspected of ties to Islamic extemists was charged with killing film maker Theo Van Gogh. Van Gogh, a descendent of the painter, had recently made a film denouncing the treatment of women within the Islamic world. A Dutch newspaper reported that a note calling for Islamic holy war was found pinned to his body, according to Reuters.

It's sad, but the story has stirred little interest, let alone outrage, in the U.S. Maybe people just overlooked it amid the tumult of the election. Where's the outrage, now that a film maker in the heart of Europe has been killed for expressing his point of view?
