Asia markets ended higher. The Nikkei rose 281.25 points, or 2.83%, to 10,205.48 as technology shares held onto gains after the strong showing in the U.S. Meanwhile, Hong Kong's Hang Seng gained 389.25 points, or 3.93%, to 10,286.39.
Canada's benchmark TSE 300 rallied to 6982 but then pulled back and ended the day in the negative column, down 4.5 points to 6899.3. The bearish reversal in the Dow Jones Industrial index was a weight. Plus, there is caution ahead of Friday's North American employment reports and ahead of a long weekend (especially a long weekend in which there may be a military strike). Of the 14 subindexes, eight fell and six rose. The oil and gas index rose 2.4%.
