Block That Kick In The Teeth

BLOCK THAT KICK IN THE TEETH

I find it very presumptuous that you declare that, due to expansion into the U.S., the Canadian Football League will eventually have a new name ("Is the NFL hearing footsteps?" Sports Business, Feb. 14). There is absolutely no reason to change the name of the league unless, of course, the following name changes are first made to Major League Baseball:

-- The World Series becomes the "North American Series";

-- The American League East (home of consecutive "North American Series" champions, the Toronto Blue Jays) becomes the "North American League East";

-- The National League East (home of the Montreal Expos) becomes the "International League East."
