VINDICATION FOR A TRUMP-WATCHER

Marvin Roffman has gotten a bit of revenge. Roffman, formerly a gaming analyst for Philadelphia brokerage Janney Montgomery Scott, was one of the first to predict--correctly--that Donald Trump's Taj Mahal casino was headed for financial trouble. Trump threatened to sue the firm if it didn't fire the analyst. Soon, Roffman was out of a job.

Now, the New York Stock Exchange has ordered Janney Montgomery to pay Roffman $750,000 in damages. The firm says it will pay up. And Roffman's lawyer says he's looking forward to arguing a related suit against Trump.EDITED BY HARRIS COLLINGWOOD
