Palestinian Prime Minister Fayyad Hospitalized With Infection

Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad was hospitalized with a stomach infection and will be kept overnight for observation at Ramallah Medical Center in the West Bank, Health Minister Hani Abdeen said.

Aside from the stomach ailment, Fayyad is in good health, Abdeen said today by phone. The prime minister suffered a heart attack in 2011 while visiting the U.S,

Fayyad has been prime minister since 2007.
