U.S. 10-Year Notes Advance; Yield Drops 2 Basis Points to 1.98%

U.S. 10-year notes advanced, pushing the yield on the securities down two basis points, or 0.02 percentage point, to 1.98 percent as of 7:08 a.m. London time.

The rate on five-year notes also dropped two basis points, to 0.86 percent.
