West Pacific Petrochemical Co., known as Wepec, sold a cargo of naphtha yesterday for lading from Dalian, China, according to three traders who participate in the market.
The company sold a medium-range vessel of naphtha, or about 30,000 metric tons, at a premium of $25 to $29 a metric ton over Japan prices, the traders said, asking not to be identified because they aren’t authorized to speak to the media. Pricing is typically for the five days before and after the bill of lading date, one of the people said.
