Meditrade Said to Buy 20,000 Metric Tons of Sunflower Oil

Meditrade, an Egyptian private commodity trader, bought 20,000 metric tons of sunflower oil and 21,000 tons of soybean oil today, two traders involved in the tender said.

The Cairo-based company purchased the sunflower oil at $1,182 a ton from Glencore International Plc (GLEN) and the soybean oil at 7,615 Egyptian pounds ($1,175) a ton from Wataneya, said the traders, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they aren’t authorized to speak to the media. The vegetable oil is for arrival from Feb. 1 to Feb. 21, the traders said.
