Redskins Beat Giants to Trail New York by One Game in NFC East

The Washington Redskins defeated the Giants 17-16 to leave New York with a one-game lead in the National Football Conference East division.

A third straight win lifts the Redskins to a 6-6 mark alongside the Dallas Cowboys, while the Giants drop to 7-5 with their third loss in four National Football League games.

Joshua Morgan and Pierre Garcon had touchdowns for the Redskins, whose quarterback Robert Griffin III completed 13 of 21 pass attempts for 163 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions.
