Germany, Greece Sell 1.35 Million EU Carbon Permits in Auctions

Germany and Greece sold a total of 1.4 million European Union carbon permits in separate auctions.

Germany sold 850,000 permits for December at 7.72 euros ($10.02) a metric ton on the European Energy Exchange AG, according to data form the exchange’s website. Greece sold 500,000 spot permits at 7.69 euros a ton on the Athex exchange, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
