Japanese investors were net sellers of foreign bonds during the week ended Sept. 21 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors sold 61.7 billion yen ($794.0 million) in overseas bonds and notes, sold 66.8 billion yen in overseas stocks and sold 18.8 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net sale of 147.4 billion yen.
Foreign investors sold 651.1 billion yen in Japanese bonds, bought 59 billion yen in stocks, and bought 485.8 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net sale 106.3 billion yen.
