July 21 (Bloomberg) --Intesa Sanpaolo SpA (ISP) named Francesco Micheli as chief operating officer, the lender said in a statement late yesterday.

Italy’s biggest retail bank also created a new position to coordinate its wealth management operations, appointing Gianemilio Osculati to the role, according to the statement.
