Muscat’s Airport Passenger Traffic Rose 20% in First Half

Muscat International Airport’s total passenger traffic rose 20 percent in the first half of 2012 to 3,749,000 compared with the year-earlier period, according to the Oman Transport and Communications Ministry.

Freight traffic rose 23 percent in the period to 59,007 tons, the ministry said. Salalah Airport’s passenger traffic climbed 25 percent in in first six months of the year to 294,209 compared with the same period a year ago.
