The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are as of the close of trade in Lima.
The Lima General Index (IGBVL) fell for a fifth session, dropping 1 percent to 20,224.52. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index slid 1.1 percent to 2,692.48.
Cia. Minera Atacocha SA (ATACOBC1 PE), the Lima-based zinc and lead producer, dropped 7 percent to 40 centimos, a three- year low, as the metals slumped in London.
Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN:US) (BVN PE), the country’s biggest precious-metals miner, fell 2.7 percent to $36.95 after gold declined in New York, said Carlos Arias, head of research at Lima-based brokerage Andes Securities SAB.
Maple Energy Plc (MPLE) , the oil and natural gas producer with operations in Peru, slid 2 percent to $1 as crude fell in New York.
Refineria la Pampilla SA (RELAPAC1 PE), a unit of Repsol YPF SA known as Relapasa, dropped 1.6 percent to 62 centimos.
