Czech Stocks: Erste Group Bank, New World Resources Are Active

The Czech Republic’s PX (PX) stock index fell 0.9 percent to 908.40 at the close of trading in Prague.

The following were among the most active equities in the Czech market today. Stock symbols follow company names.

Erste Group Bank AG (RBAG) of Austria fell 5.5 percent to 378 koruna, its biggest retreat in five months. The stock tumbled 7.1 percent in Vienna, its home market, on July 5 and July 6, when the Czech market was closed for public holiday.

New World Resources Plc (NWR) , the biggest Czech coking- coal producer, dropped 0.5 percent to 104.5 koruna, snapping a four-day gain. Europe’s benchmark coal futures contracts fell 0.5 percent to $97 a metric ton in the Netherlands.
