Istanbul Consumer Prices Fell 0.61 Percent in June, Chamber Says

Consumer prices in Istanbul fell a monthly 0.61 percent in June, the city’s chamber of commerce said.

Annual inflation accelerated to 10.63 percent from 10.57 percent in May, the chamber said in an e-mailed statement today. Wholesale prices in Turkey’s biggest city decreased a monthly 1.18 percent in June, it said.

The statistics office in Ankara is due to publish national inflation data for June on July 3.
