Pemex’s Chicontepec to Produce 300,000 Barrels in 2018: Reforma

Petroleos Mexicanos, the state-owned oil company, plans to produce 300,000 barrels a day from its Chicontepec field by 2018, Reforma reported.

The company known as Pemex boosted output this month to an average 70,000 barrels a day and expects to increase production to 72,000 barrels, the Mexico City-based newspaper reported today, citing comments from Carlos Morales, the company’s head of exploration and production.
