Latvia’s parliament approved the European Union’s Fiscal Stability Treaty.

The 100-member legislature voted 67-29 with one abstention to approve the pact in a second and final reading today, according to the website of the parliament in the capital, Riga. The accord anchors balanced-budget rules in national law.
