Spanish five-year notes extended a decline, driving the yield of five-year notes to more than 6 percent for the first time since Nov. 30.
The yield climbed 17 basis points to 6.003 percent at 9:44 a.m. London time.
The rate reached a euro-era record of 6.46 percent on Nov. 28.
