Brazilian Real Rises as Central Bank Announces Currency Swaps

Brazil’s real advanced for a third straight day, appreciating 0.5 percent to 2.0199 per dollar at 9:56 a.m. in Sao Paulo. The central bank will offer as many as 40,000 currency swap contracts at auction today, it said in a statement.
