KazMunaiGaz, Pertamina to Study Oilfield Development, Fuel Sales

PT Pertamina, Indonesia’s state-owned oil company, agreed to study joint sales of oil products in Kazakhstan with KazMunaiGaz National Co., the state-owned energy producer.

Pertamina and KazMunaiGaz will also consider exploring and developing oil and gas fields in the central Asian country under an agreement signed today in the capital, Astana, the Kazakh company said in a statement.

Separately, KazMunaiGaz Chief Executive Officer Lyazzat Kiinov and OAO Lukoil CEO Vagit Alekperov signed an agreement on May 16 to study data on unlicensed offshore and onshore oil blocks in Kazakhstan, the Kazakh company said on its website.
