Gedeon Richter Rises From Lowest Since January as Profit Soars

Gedeon Richter Nyrt. (RICHT) rebounded from a 3 1/2-month low after the biggest drugmaker in Hungary said its first-quarter profit jumped 50 percent from a year earlier.

The stock rose 1.4 percent to 36,610 forint by 9:30 a.m. in Budapest, after sliding 3.6 percent in the previous two sessions to the lowest price since Jan. 25. Today’s move made Richter the best performer in the BUX (BUX) equity index, which added 0.9 percent.
