Twelve people were killed and 125 injured in a blast at a chemical plant in Thailand operated by Bangkok Synthetics Co., the public health ministry said.
The blast occurred at the BST Elastomers plant in Rayong, about 180 kilometers (110 miles) southeast of Bangkok, the ministry said today in a statement. A separate statement from the company said eight people died and 122 were injured.
