U.S., Colombia Reach Agreement on Free-Trade Labor Accord

The U.S. and Colombia have reached agreement on a free trade agreement that includes protection of labor unions, U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk said.

The agreement provides “an opportunity to help stand up for the rights of workers” worldwide, Kirk told reporters at a Latin American summit meeting in Cartagena, Colombia.
