Germany’s Woehrl May Seek Thomas Cook’s Condor Airline, SZ Says

April 15, 2012

German investor Rudolf Woehrl is interested in bidding for Thomas Cook Group Plc (TCG)’s Condor airline, Sueddeutsche Zeitung reported in a preview of an article to be published tomorrow, citing an interview.

Thomas Cook wants more than 300 million euros ($393 million) for the unit, Sueddeutsche cited Woehrl as saying.

Woehrl bid 220 million euros with a group of investors to acquire 52 percent of Air Berlin Plc (AB1) shares a few months ago, before the carrier agreed a deal with Etihad Airways, the newspaper reported.
