Lira Weakens Second Day, Heads for Lowest Level in Two Weeks

The lira weakened for a second day and headed for the lowest level in more than two weeks in Istanbul trade.

The lira dropped 0.1 percent to 1.7967 per dollar, the lowest level since March 23 on a closing basis. Yields (BENCH) on two- year benchmark bonds dropped six basis points, or 0.06 percentage point, to 9.32 percent on April 6.
