Chevron Corp. (CVX) has leaked about one barrel of oil at the Frade project in Brazil this month after encountering new seeps on the ocean floor, the company said today in a full page advertisement in the O Estado de S. Paulo newspaper.

The oil spill off the coast of Brazil hasn’t caused any damage to marine life and the company will only resume output after completing a safety review with Brazilian regulators, Chevron said.
