France may support the appointment of Xavier Musca at the helm of the future European Stability Mechanism if the Socialist candidate wins the next presidential election, Le Figaro daily reported, without citing anyone.
Musca, President Nicolas Sarkozy’s chief of staff and top economic advisor, would be the French candidate for the ESM’s presidency if Socialist Party candidate Francois Hollande is successful in the May presidential election.
