Brazilian billionaire Eike Batista may increase the capital of his shipbuilder OSX Brasil SA (OSXB3) by $1 billion, the company said in a regulatory filing today.

Batista received proposals for two-year loans of as much as 1.8 billion reais from Itau BBA SA and Banco Bradesco SA (BBDC4), according to the filing.
