Orascom Telecom Q4 Loss Shrinks to $83M vs $170M Year Earlier

Orascom Telecom Holding SAE (ORTE), North Africa’s biggest mobile phone company, made a fourth-quarter loss before minority interest of $83 million, compared to a loss of $170 million during the same period a year earlier.

Net income attributable to shareholders for the year 2011 was $661 million, Orascom Telecom said in an e-mailed statement.
