Ford Motor Co. (F) will offer to buy out the pensions of U.S. salaried workers upon their retirement beginning in July, Todd Nissen, a spokesman, said in a telephone interview.

Workers were told last year that pension-buyout offers would be coming, he said. Ford is seeking to limit its pension risk, the automaker said today in slides posted on a company website.
