Qatar Deputy Premier Says Optimistic Hormuz Strait to Stay Open

Qatari Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah is optimistic about his country’s liquefied natural gas shipments after Iranian officials threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz and disrupt supplies.

“I believe personally that the Strait of Hormuz will always be open,” Attiyah said today on the sidelines of a seminar on climate change in Tokyo.
