Robusta Coffee Tenders Reach 48% of NYSE Liffe Certified Stocks

Robusta coffee tendered against the expiring March contract on NYSE Liffe in London totaled 48 percent of all the exchange’s certified stocks.

Tenders totaled 10,069 contracts, or 100,690 metric tons in the first two days of delivery notices, according to data on the exchange’s website. Robusta coffee stockpiles with a valid grading certificate in warehouses monitored by the NYSE Liffe stood at 210,970 tons as of Feb. 20. The exchange will update inventories data next week.

The first notice for the March contract was yesterday, when holders of futures must notify counterparties whether they intend to accept physical delivery. The notice period will run until March 30, when the contract expires.

Robusta coffee for May delivery was little changed at $2,017 a ton by 2:28 p.m. in London.
