Metrorex SA, the state-owned operator of Bucharest’s subway system, received five offers for a contract estimated at 954 million lei ($291 million) to extend one of the lines, Mediafax reported today.
Bids came from a group consisting of Italy’s Astaldi SpA (AST) and three Romanian companies; from Greece’s Aktor SA and two local partners; from Max Boegl GmbH & Co. and Delta ACM; from Germany’s Hochtief AG (HOT); and from Spain’s Fomento de Construcciones & Contratas, the Bucharest-based news service reported, without saying where it got the information.
