Hungary Stocks: OTP Bank, E-Star Alternativ Active in Budapest

Hungary’s benchmark BUX stock index rose 0.2 percent as of 11:51 a.m. in Budapest. The following are among the most active equities in the Hungarian market today. Stock symbols follow company names.

OTP Bank Nyrt. (OTP HB) (OTP), Hungary’s largest lender, rose as much as 1 percent and last traded 0.2 percent higher at 4,005 forint. Hungary will take the budget steps needed to avoid the loss of any European Union subsidies, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said today.

E-Star Alternativ Nyrt. (ESTAR) (ESTAR HB), a Hungarian energy company, dropped 4.7 percent, a second day of declines, after reporting a 3.1 million-euro ($4.1 million) net loss for the fourth quarter yesterday.
