Feb. 21 (Bloomberg) -- The 30-stock Micex index fell 0.9 percent to 1,564.48 as of 2:30 p.m. in Moscow, heading for the biggest daily drop since Feb. 10. The dollar-denominated RTS index declined 0.9 percent to 1,658.63.
The following are among the most active equities in the Russian market today. Stock symbols are in parentheses.
OAO Rosneft (ROSN RX) and OAO Lukoil (LKOH RX) dropped 0.5 percent to 218.14 rubles and 0.7 percent to 1,866.60 rubles respectively. Urals crude oil, Russia’s chief export, fell 0.5 percent to $119.87 per barrel.
United Co. Rusal, the world’s largest aluminum producer, headed for the biggest daily decline since Dec. 14 as futures of the metal fell for a second day in Shanghai. The company’s Russian depositary receipts dropped 4.2 percent to 247.41 rubles.
