Burundi’s Coffee Sales Increased 21% in January, Authority Says

Feb. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Burundi sold 663,000 kilograms (1.46 million pounds) of coffee in January, 21 percent more than a month earlier, according to the industry’s regulator.
Farmers in the East African nation earned $2.4 million from the sales, up from $2.2 million in December, the Burundi Coffee Authority said in a statement handed to reporters today in the capital, Bujumbura.
