Feb. 13 (Bloomberg) -- Dredging Environmental & Marine Engineering NV was awarded a A$1.13 billion ($1.2 billion) dredging contract for Chevron Corp.’s Wheatstone liquefied natural gas project in Western Australia.
Bechtel Group Inc., which is designing and engineering the project for Chevron, named DEME’s Australian subsidiary to complete the dredging by December 2015, the Zwijndrecht, Belgium-based company said today in an e-mailed statement. DEME said it will carry out the work with Oak Brook, Illinois-based Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Co., without providing details about the revenue split.
