Feb. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Vietnam trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close.
The VN Index, the benchmark measure of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, gained for a fifth day, adding less than 0.1 percent to 401.74. The gauge jumped 7.7 percent this week, a third straight weekly advance.
Bien Hoa Sugar Joint-Stock Co. (BHS VN), a sugar manufacturer based in the southern province of Dong Nai, climbed 2.8 percent to 18,500 dong, the highest since Nov. 29. Raw sugar for March 2013 delivery gained 1.3 percent on the Tokyo Grain Exchange.
Nui Nho Stone Joint-Stock Co. (NNC VN), which supplies construction materials and has businesses from property development to resort investment, advanced 3 percent to 34,900 dong. Its fourth-quarter profit rose 47 percent to 29.2 billion dong ($1.39 million), according to an exchange statement.
