Feb. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Egypt’s benchmark EGX 30 Index declined 2.2 percent, the most since Dec. 22, to 4,584.39 at the 2:30 p.m. close in Cairo, trimming this week’s gain to 3.4 percent.

Beltone Financial Holding (BTFH EY) dropped 9.2 percent to 12.42 Egyptian pounds, the lowest since Dec. 26. Chief Executive Officer Aladdin Saba canceled the sale of his 20 percent stake in the investment bank to Arabia Investments & Development & Financial Investments Holding Co.
Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding SAE (OTMT EY) advanced for an eighth day, gaining 1.8 percent to 1.14 pounds. The mobile-phone company headed by billionaire Naguib Sawiris said its subscribers in North Korea exceeded one million.
