Jan. 6 (Bloomberg) -- The Petroleum & Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, which represents about 24,000 oil workers, ordered its members to join a general strike on Jan. 9 to protest the scrapping of fuel subsidies.
The government must reverse its decision, the union, known as Pengassan, said in an e-mailed statement today.
